Mmmm… beer.. German beer… It should be cold and a lot of it.

I am not entirely happy with how this group photo came up, but taking into consideration the constraints (no decent tripod available, bad light, crowded place), it may not be that bad after all…

Sorry for posting like this, I know the proper way was to make individual posts, with short introductions and references, but the Zoo trip was unplanned and I am time contrained, unable to make the proper research, so here are some photos, just photos.
But one more think before jumping to the pictures: I used to hate the Zoos, based on my experience with the Bucharest Zoo, which is small and horrible, with a lot of tortured animals. Well, the Berlin Zoo is a world apart, it’s awesome.

Sushi: Japanese food with fish, algae and soy sauce, which you are supposed to eat with a couple of wooden sticks.

The weather in Berlin is about the same with what I left in Bucahrest: rainy.

For a few days I am in Berlin for a Fedora (Linux) Conference, FUDCon, so I am using the opportunity to take a lot of photos. One of the first things to notice was the garbage on the street, seeing it I started to doubt my view on the street garbage in Bucharest

I aslo encountered weird people on bikes, like you see on photo jokes from China:

But the bunnies in the huge park/forest near the Tegel airport weree absolutely amazing and unexpected:

And the open display of the hookers on street was somehow a new sight for a boy from Bucharest:

Rain in Bucharest is doom and gloom, the city usually gets near to a collapse:

But at least some look like enjoying it (or at least being affected not that much):

Tried to remake an older shot, from about a year ago, but there are some differences: the chocolate is weaker (Heidi Dark versus an almighty Lindt) but the fruits are more interesting, both as color and taste (raspberries versus strawberries). What would you take?

Enough is enough, so I had to end being a softie by posting a last batch of "cute" portraits, so I can go back to my usual self.

I find the puppet theatre stupid, boring and useless but it was really amazing to see how the children reacted to it, they were charmed by the show, giving a great opportunity for the photographer:

I am not undergoing a pussyfication process, it just happened to be in the park, observe the subject and press the shutter, what else a photographer is supposed to do?

This is what I like to call contrast:

The white swans are symbol for what swan stand for: grace, purity, delicacy… and black are original, unusual, exotic. So I guess it was a good idea to have both types in the Cismigiu Park. An unusual +1 for the people in charge.

Liked the comic strip tutorial from the other day? Now here is another one, about what I like to call steampunk photography, I wrote this one last year but until today it was not published properly (now is together with my other graphic tutorials:

And stop for now with the tutorials, I don’t have other in the pipe for the immediate future.
