Abigail CD cover

Remember the project I was worked on with Abigail? It started to come into fruition, they have now a sleeve for their It Is The Nidht I Fear CD, with the photo I made in that session on the back side (the band photo):

Ramayana

Remember the old Indian play shooting? It was the time for a continuation, with the same model Mia, now indoors at Ramayana Cafe, where we played a bit more with this theme.

It Is The Night I Fear

I spent another night with Abigail. And I fear it? No! It Is The Night I Fear is the name of the EP they launched yesterday evening at Elephant Pub in Bucharest, which they filed with doom metal and, of, course, fans. Grooooowl!!!

Bad blood? Flamenco!

For the last week-end of the Bucharest Days for 2011, on the stage on Lipscani street they had a Spanish group, named Malasangre5 (is this the 5 bad bloods? they were only 4…) singing and dancing flamenco, and they were not bad at all:

Expecting

Vlad Andrei is going to join the world any time soon (probably in a couple of weeks), so preparing for that, me and his parents went for some photos in the park in a nice afternoon a couple of weeks ago:

Fashion on the beach

Among the many things that happened in Vama Veche was a day with fashion photography. It started with a studio session:

And continued with an outside session, on the beach, near a stage with rock music (death metal!):

For the day to be complete, in-between was time for some street-fashion play:

Trash the Dress in Vama Veche

Photography wise, the wedding is a first step, it should better continue with trashing the dress, as I did last week in Vama Veche, at the sea side, with my friends Andeea and Alex.

ARTmania 2011: the music

This year I attended ARTmania as a photographer sent by Studio Rock, so with the press pass I had better access to take my photos. And as a metal festival is mostly about the music, this first post will be about the music (some other stuff will follow), there are the bands:

helloween

And, of course, there were rockers. Many of them:

On the tracks

Last week I had a photo session with Iulia near the railroads (more photos will come in later posts) in this unexpected place inside the city (yes, still inside the Bucharest city limits). See, she can be sad, happy, hopeful… and always sexy.

Colored eyes

This contact lenses photo session was in the planning for a long time and last week-end the client (is made for an online store selling cosmetic contact lenses) finally made it happen. For the final product the images won’t be used like this, but as crops closed to the eyes, to better show the products. But we don’t sell stuff here, this is about beauty…

With Mino at Moara lui Assan

After the CounterStrike fun, it was the time for another visit at Mora lui Assan, now with a more glamourous take, thanks to Mino:

Ana Bella in the park

In the park, shooting for a portraiture project I will talk more at a later date, we had the time for some general shoots too, in the very summer style: roses, vaporous dresses, green:

To the volcanoes

This weekend, together with a group of friends, I was on a trip to the famous mud volcanoes in Buzău county:

We were a lot of photographers and some models, so it was the time and place for an extended photo session

Wedding

For everything is a first time and for me last week-end was the first time shooting at a weeding, a new and exciting experience. It had also plenty of fun.

To my advantage, I was the second photographer, leaving on the shoulder of my friend Dee all the serious and classic stuff, having for me the freedom to do anything I wanted, so I put the wide lenses on and tried most of the time extreme and crazy angles.

It was also useful that the bride and the groom are my friends, we had good interaction, and as photographers they understood my needs.

If you wonder, yes, this was the reason for me visiting Râșnov and eating sarmale 🙂
