Aces of the skies, heroes and entertainers at the same time. BIAS 2015
For those who liked my Xmas picture in the Parenting series, I am breaking some of its magic with a ‘making of’: tripod, remote trigger, multiple shots, loaded as layers, masks.

It looks like a favorite sport of many participants at this year’s Nijikon was giving hugs for free, this made me remember about the hugs I wanted to offer and were denied… because they here not gratuitous.

High hopes, big letdown. very few photos, that’s summing-up ARTmania 2010 viewed from my eye. Epic FAIL.

My experience with fashion photography is limited (but I do want to learn more in the area) and I also have little experience with shooting men – didn’t read much on this area, did not experiment and such, so when getting this request for doing a male fashion shooting I really felt out of my comfort zone but the challenge was interesting. Will let the viewers be judged, I acknowledge I am a noob in this.
Having a bad day in a row of bad days from a row of bad weeks from a row of bad months, hoping this little fuzzy guy (the pink elephant is the mascot of what probably is the best pub in the world) will help a bit. No workee…
What a bummer! After a couple of sunny weeks the morning of the national day, with its traditional military parade, was cloudy and misty. Bad for photography, bad for the photographer, so the photos are not much better than last year, in yet another cold, cloudy and misty winter morning. Click to enlarge.

This was a hard working week-end, shooting effectively hundreds of close-up photos of eyes with contact lenses (7 models, about 50 lenses, 3-4 shots for each). Tiresome but rewarding, commercial but without pay, Fun stuff.
During the photo session I developed a theory: interested in cosmetic contact lenses seems to be girls with beautiful brown eyes and girls with less-than-beautiful but non-brown eyes. Probably a try to fit a social norm and a corrective action.
I can understand someone is not happy with her eye color, hell, I am not with mine, I can also understand someone’s curiosity about a new eye color, but I can’t understand why someone with beautiful eyes would prefer a complete fakery (duh! those lenses are so unnatural!) only because she does not have the “perfect” color (I think is obvious I find the natural form of some of the eyes above to be really beautiful).
