Even some more fashion at the mall photos

All around the world, the weddings are surrounded by ceremonies and rituals

Shoots from a fashion parade at the Liberty Center mall in Bucharest.

Fashion parade at the mall is not unusual, a somewhat smaller mall where available space is at the food court is not unusual. Having the McDonalds posters enter the frame at the said fashion parade is kind of awkward.

At a wedding, the groom needs support. This is what his best men are for. That and looking good and tough together.

There is a rule that applies each and every time: a wedding must have a superstar. And also each and every time, that superstar is the bride herself. She is the center of the event and all eyes are on her.

How do you know you did your work well? A spontaneous “Wow!” from the client when seeing the resulting prints is a good indicator of it. And rewarding in itself for you.

The 2015 season for event photography is approaching fast, those who are not ready for it, should get soon. As part of my preparations, I updated my event photography website with a new, simpler and more beautiful design and, more important, with current sample photos. Have a look and if you like what you see, we can talk, maybe I can make you an interesting photography offer.

From the unfriendly light in The Silver Church, here is Awake in concert.

From a photographic point of view, where the light is of the essence, The Silver Church is the worst. Actually, most likely there are worse places with no light at all, but you got the point. Important was the performance delivered there by Shifting Sands, which deserved better support.

Last Sunday, Canon Romania organized a big event, called ‘Canon Day’. The first thing in the morning was an opportunity to play with some Canon gear. I was really impressed by a 600mm tele lens: it is very sharp and really makes distances disappear. Unfortunately, at that time there were no more interesting subject to shoot around. I wish I had more often a use case for such a lens (and, of course, the money to afford it).

Later in the day, we could attend workshops on different photography genres, I spent most of my time at the weddings workshop and some at the fashion one. Too bad one can’t me in more places at the same time…

The Holi festival in India is spectacular, no wonder there are copycat attempts, like The Color Run which had the first Romanian edition in Bucharest. But those can’t use the original religious theme of Holi, so they have to use something else, like a 5 kilometers run followed by a party. Still, the paint and get together are kept.
