I don’t think there is any need for words to accompany this picture, just look at its light.

At times I may be positive towards it, but there are also many cases when I hate this shitty city, like yesterday evening when returning home I witnessed such a beautiful sunset, only to have the city obstructing my views and ruining the scenery.

It was a heavy storm in the evening, just before I left the office and then the black clouds cleared a bit for the sun near the horizon, allowing for one of the most beautiful “golden hour” lights I remember but I was in a hurry to get somewhere and did not capture it. A bit later, after I failed the task I had in the city I noticed the beautiful colors of the twilight and this time did use my camera, trying to capture them. Hope you like them too, from the right angle and at the right time Bucharest is not that bad… The bad part is me being completely unprepared: hand held camera and only the 50mm lens with me.

My last photo session from 2008 (the New Year Eve one doesn’t count, it ended in 2009) was completely unexpected: the last working day was a bit shorter, I left the office a couple of hours earlier than usual, so I encountered a beautiful sunset. Jumped out of the bus as fast as I could at Arcul de Triumf where I hoped to get a clear view of the skyline and tried to capture it.

Not very happy with the photo session at the Gaudeamus book fair, I tried to "save" the fay: only a few steps away is the Herăstrău Park, the place where I took most of my nature shots.
It was very cold, last days of November with a weather just like snow-less winter so the place looked deserted, a lot of crows, dead leaves, few people and a drowned lake. And the sunset photos are taken from the opposite direction, with the sun on my back: the horizon was covered by trees and buildings and I had to use a reflection.

Going to FUDCon was an awesome opportunity to see the beautiful city of Brno.
