Coming from a spring walk in the Herăstrău park and going to the Izvor park for the fire show, we passed by the river of Dîmbovița at the exact moment of the sunset. That’s a sure location for beautiful city shoots at that moment.

Returning from a mountains trip, close to Bucharest, there was this beautiful sunset on the side of DN1, so we stopped a little for a few pics. Probably we could have stayed a bit more and capture this image on the spectacular mountain scenery? Unfortunately no, the mountains are tall, the sun goes fast behind them so early in the spring.

Unlike some other years, yesterday on the national day, December 1st, I didn’t shoot the military parade, make love, not war, you know… sat at home and near the sunset walked a little in the park: water, sun, birds… it was peaceful.

Lately I got into a strange spree of shooting sunsets, I am fully aware it is cliché but what can I do when the sunset is in front of me and I have the camera handy? Look trough the viewfinder and press the shutter… sue me! 😀

ARTmania 2011: the clouds

Probably this is the most unexpected part in my series about ARTmania, a picture of the sky… I noticed the wonderful color of the sunset and the weird clouds, but it was until Silvia pointed the tank when I noticed the battle in the sky, complete with a helicopter, a missile and a sea of red.
