Just another day when people get out in the streets to defend their freedom and oppose the coruption

When for some reason you can’t go out in the street, bring the street to you.

After the communist government sneakily decriminalised acts of corruption by emergency ordinance (to save their asses), Romania witnessed its biggest protest in the post-communist era: an estimated number of over 300.000 took the streets in the entire country, with over 150.000 of them in Bucharest alone.



A new episode in the protests against the corruption and mafia-like government of Romania. This time an estimated number of 40,000-50,000 people participated only in Bucharest, with many others in the rest of the country.





If I am to pick a favorite picture from the anti-corruption protest in Bucharest this is the one, for the lack of hope in those people eyes. I feel it close resembles the situation in the country.

Winter is not all shines and sparkles, at times it can be gloomy

22 January 2017: 30,000 of citizens from Bucharest (joined by several thousands in other Romanian cities) get in the street to protest when the communist government tries to sneaky pass a mass pardon for corrupt politicians and also de-criminalize acts of corruption.
