First time when I saw one was a couple years ago and then my reaction was “that’s impossible! hummingbirds don’t live here… and this is an insect, not a bird!” Now having the opportunity to take some pictures, I documented a bit: yes, is an insect looking like a hummingbird and is obviously called the Hummingbird Hawk-moth or, if you prefer Latin, Macroglossum stellatarum.
