Did you ever think the ghosts may be interested in ice cream?

Every such event has his heroes and an incontestable hero of the Midnight Run in Bucharest was this disabled guy who was able to run his full 5000 meters.

Actually it was called Midnight Run and it happened 1-2 hours before the midnight, still some ghosts seems to managed to get there.

Sunday night the sky was a bit hazy, so I couldn’t take a clear photo of the supermoon. Good think I played a bit the previous night and captured a picture then… still, quite boring, not that different from the last year’s supermoon. Next time if I take a picture again, I promise to be more creative.

The New Year Eve is the perfect opportunity for the photographer to get out of his house and capture some nice fireworks in all their glory. This year, for personal/family reasons, I had to stay home but still attended some fireworks: the closest ones, so we went to the Cuza (also known as I.O.R.) Park in Bucharest. It was as expected from our shady mayor: weak, boring, cheap. Reminder: next time, make the extra-effort and do to Piața Constituției, that is the worthy fireworks place in the city.

For a project I was required nine night pictures from a city so my choice was a series of photos made this year in Prater, Vienna. Stay tuned for more info on the project (in a couple of weeks).

Last year I had a picture there, this year one of my pics was selected again for the “Bucharest in black and white” (Bucureștiul în alb și negru) photo exhibition, which should open on October 17 at Cărturești, near Piața Romană. It was taken earlier this year at Femei pe Mătăsari.

Again, the same rule is for the image format, 4:3, which I wonder about, it is the image format for compact cameras: is one of the exhibition heavyweights too lazy to crop his pictures or is an opening for newbies still using compacts? (a newbie may not know how to crop, while you have better expectation from someone with a bigger camera).

I like fireworks and it was a while (at least a couple of years) since I saw a good one (being busy whit other things when they happened), so when I learned there will be fireworks in the last night of B-FIT, I couldn’t miss the opportunity.

Neige de feu (snow fire) by Cie entre Terre et Ciel was a spectacular show with fire, part of B-FIT Street, the Bucharest international theatre festival.

“19 Reasons” by Aromatic Company was one of the spectacles happening in the street at the Bucharest International Theatre Festival, B-FIT. I saw their show twice: one time in the Colțea Square and another time on the Lipscani Street, the pictures are from the second one, where my station point was better.

The Old City of Bucharest can be very animated by night, especially if is close to the week-end and more so if a festival takes place there (now it was the International Theatre Festival, B-FIT)

We love the old city, right?

B.FIT, the Bucharest International Theatre Festival, closed with a big parade, part of it was the parade of Latin dance schools, with samba, salsa, capoeira, bachata and more. There were some costumes making you think of Rio de Janeiro.
