On the ladder

When on a ladder the normal thing to do is to climb it to the top. Hopefully, having fun while doing it.

SIAMB 2012: Denisa

On the SIAMB 2012 floor, Denisa was dark and curvy, a presence you will surely notice:

siamb

The car where she was working was also dark and with noticeable curves:

SIAMB 2012: Jessi

At SIAMB 2012 Jessi was not just a hostess for a motorbike school, she is a student at that school, so what she was doing on that bike was in touch with the reality. Vrooom!!!…

Indian play

I expect my readers who are actually Indians to go ballistic on me for the title, but is not my fault, my fellow photographer, Flori, and the model, Mia, set the idea, theme, accessories and details of this shot, I just happened to be around and take photos. And the clothing, jewellery and hand painting are of Indian inspiration.

Colored eyes

This contact lenses photo session was in the planning for a long time and last week-end the client (is made for an online store selling cosmetic contact lenses) finally made it happen. For the final product the images won’t be used like this, but as crops closed to the eyes, to better show the products. But we don’t sell stuff here, this is about beauty…

Little ones at Florii in Muzeul Satului

Traditional masters? Rural glamour? Of course! But there were also a lot of little ones, both in the show and the audience:

Cliché : the cat

Do you shrug when seeing yet another wannabe photographer attacking one of those over-used topics like kittens, children, flowers, sunsets and such? If you still have hope, let me destroy it with a cliché cat picture:

New glass, so what? Too little, too late. Miss the blue.

newglass I lost faith on many things those days, including in ever getting F64 to ever fix my lens, so in the end I followed my my friend‘s advice and bought a new, better lens – even if I still disagree with her, you can’t buy happiness with money… well, unless is an enormous sum, like 1,000,000€ or such…

And if you know me, you know I’m following the principle “or la bal or la spital” (translation from Romanian: “either at the dance, or at the hospital”) so I went for f/2.8 and a weight that will break my back. Middle way is not an option.

My biggest regret is losing the opportunity to use this gear to capture one of the most beautiful blue eyes I ever saw, every time my gear was incomplete, I missed the opportunity and tried to do the best with what I had available. Not what I wanted. I am sorry.

Hide and Seek

Is she here or is not? You never know for real… too bad for those beautiful big blue eyes to stay hidden.

Burqa / No burqa

I agree the burqas are a bad thing and despite being a supporter of individual freedom I pretty much agree with the West European governments that banned them (keeping the discrimination is the greater evil here) so this one was just a play which I think made her eyes look even more beautiful (I bet this was not the intention behind burqa). And too bad you can’t smell the mint plants she’s holding…

The Model Life

Andreea, the star from my recent I <3 fedora pictorial has written (in Romanian, use Google Translate if you need another language) a kind of tutorial + testimony about how is to be a model, what you should do and don’t… you know, the key to success. Go read it, is a sincere and insightful lecture, you will enjoy it – I did.

She is touching topic like how and why she started modelling, how to choose and work with the photographer, model releases, poses, equimpment and ethics. Got your attention already?

Twins in cars

Unrelated to the talk about cars and cleavages, I feel like jumping at how happy twins are expected to behave in a car.

And even the hood is happy being treated like that:

The hard life of the photographer

A photographer life can be hard, he is a pro, must behave and don’t do like the bozos (cocalari):

the right end?

And he will receive his compensation, in the form of pretty eyes and beautiful smile:
the right end?

But know what? Life is not always bad, when he go to the other end he will receive again the bonus of the eyes and the smile.
the right end?

4tuning 2010

I am swamped with photos from the just closed 4tuning auto show, have about 3.5 tons of photos to sort and process, so far I was able just to put out a small catalog and to start blogging with, from what I saw so far, the photo I like the most from the event:

4tuning

Stay tuned (pun intended!), more to come…
