Adventures in Piatra

Over the last week-end I was in a trip to Piatra Neamț, if I recall correctly it was my first time in that city. The trip was planned long before so I went, even if I was too sad for it (being hit by the thing called “life”).

It was not all drinking, I took some photos too, but between the before mentioned sadness and still lacking lenses the results are far from great.

There was a statue of Fane Babanu’:

I also saw a poster with one of the scariest foods ever (didn’t dare to try it):

Zurich

A few days in Zurich for FUDCon, I was on the conference most of the time but still caught a few moments in the city, doing some photography. Unfortunately, not having my lens, they didn’t came as I wanted and I didn’t took so many… didn’t got the time yet for editing, just dumped some of them in a small gallery.

Hide and Seek

Is she here or is not? You never know for real… too bad for those beautiful big blue eyes to stay hidden.

Photo comic: Medieval

Some time ago I also played with comic strips made as a combination of photography and illustration, but this time the idea was to aim for a longer story, evolving with feedback from the viewers. It will continue only if the audience want to.

Hello Kitty, Hello Trashcan

Another piece in the awful flash photography series.

The toy was bought a few days ago to be offered as a reward on Friday or in the worst case on Saturday, now it looks like the trash can is going to be the receiver.

Rat’s life

I have a rat infestation in my garden so finally I decide to take action: gathered some rat poison and spread it in a few strategic places, now waiting to it to take effect.

Friday evening when returning from work I was in a big hurry, being awaited and having hopes, as it was the time to make plans for the next day. But the very first thing I had to do was to feed my dog so I walked in the garden, where I saw my first victim, a rat was dying: eyes closed, unable to move any more bur still breathing.

Touchingly, next to him was another rat, keeping him company for the last moments. I was brutal, took a shovel, the poison has to be buried to not endanger my dog and I also was in a hurry (I said i was awaited) so the companion rat ran away scared by my presence.

Now I still remember the spark of light in the still living rat’s eyes and the relation they seemed to have and can’t stop asking: even a rat? am I cursed? am I broken?

Needless to say, my hopes also died that evening.
