Meet the puppet

I find the puppet theatre stupid, boring and useless but it was really amazing to see how the children reacted to it, they were charmed by the show, giving a great opportunity for the photographer:

Children and traditions

I am not undergoing a pussyfication process, it just happened to be in the park, observe the subject and press the shutter, what else a photographer is supposed to do?

Tradition and technology

This is what I like to call contrast:

Swans. In black and white.

The white swans are symbol for what swan stand for: grace, purity, delicacy… and black are original, unusual, exotic. So I guess it was a good idea to have both types in the Cismigiu Park. An unusual +1 for the people in charge.

Steampunk photography with GIMP

Liked the comic strip tutorial from the other day? Now here is another one, about what I like to call steampunk photography, I wrote this one last year but until today it was not published properly (now is together with my other graphic tutorials:

And stop for now with the tutorials, I don’t have other in the pipe for the immediate future.

Photo comic strip with GIMP and Inkscape

After taking the photos you may want to do some more than just looking at them, like, why not, create a comic strip, so here is a tutorial for doing this with GIMP and Inkscape:

A bug’s life

Dill (mărar) in my garden, a bug having fun time with it…

A symphony of flavors

After seeing the awesome cherries before, aren’t you hungry yet? If not, here’s a fruity mix for you: strawberries, raspberries, sour cherries and a few mint leaves. All except the strawberries are from my garden, so they are natural, tasty, flavored and totally awesome (and even the strawberries are the best I had this year so far).

My sweet cherry pie…

OK, those are not regular cherries, they are sour cherries (Romanian: vișine) so they are not just sweet but sour and sweet and with a kick-ass flavor (harvested from my garden), making them even better for a cherry pie.

Fedora 11

a bit of utilitarian photography: we "launched" Fedora 11 in Romania: beer, geeky talks and even geek girls.

Fruit p0rn

After posting some real porn (and waiting to post some more), maybe is the time for a different kind of porn: fuit close-ups, so close they become almost indecent:

And the taste was even better, they are harvested from my hargen, 100% natural and absolutely delicious.

Daisies

One of the things I wanted to shoot was some daisies but finding only a few dried ones I started to worry about a missing opportunity. Until Saturday, when walking in the Herastrau Park I noticed the daisies, not some great ones but good enough for photography.

Now am I supposed to do something with its petals?

Eroshow 2009: the pornstars

It took a while since I promised more photos from Eroshow and they are only a few, I was little motivated by the unexpectedly weak reaction after the first set.

I will follow with some portraits and still pondering about pussies (yeah, there are some of those too).

Eroshow 2009: photos galore

Of course I couldn’t miss the opportunity to shoot at the 2009 edition of Eroshow, the yearly erotic show in Bucharest. Since I have thousands of photos, it will take a while to select and publish, so the event will be covered by a few (many?) posts. I’ll start slowly with photos from the booths. Of course there were some slutty girls in there, giving you a flyer, showing a boob, selling a dildo, getting customers:

But surprisingly there were some excessively cute babes as well, with an innocent look, almost like out-of place in there:
